My husband and I came for a date night, and it was perfect! The inside is decorated in a cozy, cute manner, and our server was super kind and attentive. Most importantly, the sushi was delicious! I recommend trying the rainbow roll. It was soooo good and gave us the opportunity to try a few different fish. For dessert, I had a red bean taiyaki, which had the perfect balance of sweetness to end the meal! Sadly, I forgot to take good photos of the food, but that is because everything tasted so amazing that it slipped my mind!! We will for sure be coming back to try more!

By far some of the freshest cuts of fish that I've had in Los Angeles. The cuts of meat are meaty, fresh and simply divine. My colleague and I ordered Omakase and couldn't have been happier. The sushi chef obviously understands that it is an honor when someone leaves their dining experience in his hands. From the sushi chef to the entire staff we were extremely happy and can't wait to go back. Check out the pictures and you will understand.

Definitely one of the best local sushi joint in Torrance. It was our stomping ground up until we moved to Texas in early 2023. No frills, just great sushi, intimate atmosphere and great service. I was fortunate to be able to stop by and dine here during a business trip in early April 2024 and had the opportunity to catch up with John, the owner. Ueno is one of the few sushi restaurant in the South Bay where you can find the freshest cut of otoro sushi around (fatty tuna belly) and just simply quality cuts of sashimi and sushi. Plenty of parking in the private lot but it does fill up quickly during the early dinner rush.
