I love to get sushi here! The variety is excellent, and the hot food station and make-your-own hibachi station are great. The hibachi is usually very tasty, and there are all sorts of noodles, meats, and veggies you can include. The dessert station is also very nice, with lots of ice cream flavors and other small desserts, as well as a large chocolate fondue. There is also a great selection of fruit, salad, and cold seafood. Most buffets seem stuffy or somewhat dirty, but Kumo is very clean! The staff is very friendly, and I love the waiter robot that serves your hibachi when it is ready! I highly recommend it for those who mostly eat sushi!

Given the ~$25pp price point, the selection (e.g. sushi, sashimi, hibachi, standard buffet options, etc.), a clean restaurant, attentive service (though it was an empty restaurant when we went for lunch), and the quality being higher than what you would expect if I said "sushi buffet", this earns its above average rating. Not a must stop for any one item as it doesn't excel at any one thing, but it delivers decently on many fronts. It won't convert you if you aren't into trying many items or a buffet person generally, but if you fit that category I'd be surprised if you were disappointed. If you are solely coming for the sushi/sashimi, there are AYCE places that specialize in that area that will be better suited for you (e.g. Sushi House, Sushi Palace, Sushi X2, etc.). The waiter robot is a cool concept and appeared to work well, though it didn't wait on us while we were there.

Good buffet dishes selection and surprisingly good taste compared to other buffets. Fried calamari, shrimp, spring roll, fried clams, fried rice and chow mien. Good Sushi variety and sashimi. Lame dessert cakes. Ice cream and chocolate fountain. 3 if us paid $80 total. Good place for kids. Attentive staff always removing plates and buffet is always refilled.
