Wonderful Japanese fusion restaurant. Unlike most SF restaurants that has become stingy over the years, they serve a very generous portions for the tasting menu. Very good vibe also a nice view on a good day.

We visited Chotto Matte on a weekday around 3 pm to celebrate the Taiwanese Lunar New Year. The vibrant atmosphere and stunning decor immediately caught our attention, setting a lively tone for our meal. We requested to share one tasting menu for two, as we weren't very hungry, and the waitress kindly accommodated our request. The $165 tasting menu was incredibly generous, even for two people, leaving us feeling quite full. I appreciate that Chotto Matte opens early for dinner ( none stop after lunch) , which is rare, not many high end restaurants does that. The beautiful decor and lively vibe make it a standout, and it's always on my list. I highly recommend Chotto Matte SF ♥️🌹🙏.

I loved this place first time around and picked it for my birthday celebration this year. It was early afternoon Monday so not crazy busy which was perfect for us. Last time I was there was Friday afternoon and packed. I love the tasting menu. Food, service and ambience all perfect fit for a special occasion
