A Most Splendid Feast of the Eastern Seas! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hark! Upon mine entrance to this fine establishment, I was met with kindness most rare, as though a long-lost kin had bid me welcome. The keepers of this house did attend to mine every need with swiftness and grace, their countenance ever bright as the morning sun. Lo, the fare set before me was a marvel to mine eyes and a delight to mine tongue! The fish, most fresh as though plucked from the briny deep but moments ere, did melt upon mine lips with flavors rich and divine. Each morsel was crafted with care, a testament to the skill of the artisans who toiled behind yon counter. The hall itself was of most pleasing aspect—clean, fair, and well-appointed, fit for lords and common folk alike. Verily, I shall return anon, for such a repast is not oft found in these lands. Let all who seek victuals most excellent make haste to this house, for therein lies a bounty most wondrous!

The service here is ideal - friendly and attentive. Their crab rangoon had a generous amount of filling inside. It was a great start to the meal complimented with a classic seaweed salad and miso soup. The spicy bulgogi fried chicken burger was bold in flavor, sticky and delicious! I added grilled onions to this and it was a great add on. (Although, the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) option were from the pre-covid days ‐ I'm happy to have stayed to try out the rest of the menu!) Check out the full menu because there are so many options and hope you enjoy yourself I did. The atmosphere is welcoming and I'd definitely be back!

Highly recommend if you love Japanese/korean food! Wide variety to choose from. Solid food. Good service. Solid B grade restaurant. Would come again! Definitely not a go-to sushi place, BUT sushi was solid and good. A lot of their fried rolls taste the same. Also warning the fried rolls have a thick breading. Jalapeño bomb 10/10 you must try! Oddly enough they don’t give ginger with every roll, but that may just be a local thing to Rockford (I am from Chicago). None of the items are particularly wow, but are all solid versions of the dish.
