The Toro Heaven roll and fried oysters were very good, and the prices were relatively affordable—less than $60 total for two people (including an appetizer). However, our experience had some drawbacks. We sat near the kitchen, and unfortunately, there was an unpleasant odor, similar to a restroom. Additionally, the server spoke to me in Chinese, despite me not being Chinese. As a general rule, servers should confirm before assuming a guest’s language. Lastly, the menu listed “tonkatsu ramen,” which is incorrect—it should be “tonkotsu.” As expected, the ramen didn’t taste authentic.

We really enjoyed finding this gem! It was out of the normal area we would find restaurants in Palo Alto but it’s worth the drive! We ordered a few rolls that were gluten free, tea, sake and salmon nigiri. Great service and atmosphere.

A very nice place, with lovely service. The dishes were good, although some of the ingredients weren’t made there, and tasted store bought. But - still a very good place to have sushi and Ramen.
