It would be a 5-star experience if the price were $195 per person. However, with the mandatory 19% taxable service charge (which is nearly 21% after tax) and $6 tea fee, the actual price is $260 and the total cost per person exceeds $300 with tips. At this price point, the food feels too ordinary.

Food was fine but too ordinary for the price of almost 300 per person. The menu was playing safe but not creative; not going above and beyond. We didn't order any alcohol or extras. This 300 per person price was for the fixed menu omakase: 195 + 19% service charge + tax + tip (it was a mandatory tip because they told us the 19% service fee does not go to the server). I uploaded photos for the non-sushi part. There are also 10 sushi pieces for which I didn't upload any photos.

Aesthetically pleasing Japanese omakase restaurant in Palo Alto. Iki omakase is an up and coming omakase restaurant that provides beautifully presented dishes. You are sat at the counter and are able to see the chef prepare each dish, so it feels of a more intimate dining experience. All of the fish is flown from Japan and Korea and is delightfully fresh.
