I’m here as I write and let me say this, they are not a good restaurant. Ginger salads with the worst type of lettuce, the food is extremely salty (and yes sir I’m telling the truth about your restaurant) my family had to put aside the soup, We told the waitress and she said “sorry she doesn’t know what happened there” instead of saying “please let me bring it back and get you a properly made soup” then proceeds to ask us at the end how was everything? You missed the opportunity to help us long when we spoke up. The sushi was very good though. I’m already deep in so I have to pull through but I will not be coming back here or recommending this place, just awful food for our taste buds. Consistently good food is what wins and this is not it! I’m so sorry I’m spending my money here tonight because I’m very disappointed. The food is definitely definitely not it!!! We left most of the food behind and went home with high blood pressure

I love hibachi, but this place doesn’t make the cut. I’m not really sure why the is a sports bar here too. So, reasons to pass on this place - chef was not very entertaining, the food prep area was not clean, there was a kid (maybe owners daughter) running around the restaurant without shoes on. On a positive note, the food was pretty and prices were reasonable, however I question the cleanliness. I’ll also add our teppanyaki chef curse a few times which isn’t cool in front of my 9 year old daughter. I have to give this place a hard pass.

Have you ever been to a hibachi restaurant? In terms of the food preparation experience, Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar is much like every other hibachi restaurant: - Friendly chef rhythmically clacking and clanging, swirling and twirling his cooking tools? Check. - Roaring, face-warming flame at the start to get your attention? Check. - The flaming onion choo-choo train trick? Check. - Chef tossing morsels into customer mouths for laughs? Check. - Veggies were sliced and diced, together with a large mound of rice, all fried with lumps of butter and portioned out before the proteins come out? Check. I'm not saying that any of these things are bad, but you'll see these time-tested themes at the Steakhouse. The thing that sets the Steakhouse apart seems to be the nice seating area near the bar for those foregoing the hibachi experience for sushi and drinks. I'd like to return to eat and explore the drinks menu more in detail in this area one day, actually. The hibachi-area is large with a dozen grills. The service was quick and we were well-attended to. Servers were very nice and our chef was friendly. The menu is typical: steak, chicken, scallops, shrimp, etc and combinations thereof. My party of six ordered some of the above proteins (served with ginger sauce and a creamy "yum-yum sauce") as well as edamame and shrimp tempura as starters. As for the quality of the food, the portions were huge and seasoned well. Maybe too well as chef may have added a squirt too much soy sauce. Soup and salad (lettuce) come with each hibachi meal. Salads are served with a choice of either ginger dressing or a creamy “yum-yum” dressing. We found the ginger dressing stronger than that of other restaurants; my father didn’t eat his ginger-dressed salad. Overall, though, the meal was good. Restrooms are appointed well and clean. For a very familiar, but good, hibachi experience, do visit the Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar. Let me know how the sushi and drinks are!
