It is kind of expensive but that is to be expected due to the location. The sushi is good and I like their selection of rolls

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kamakura Japanese Restaurant in Los Gatos, and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the Salmon Teriyaki and a selection of their sushi rolls, and I was impressed with the quality of the food. The salmon teriyaki was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. As for the sushi, it was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. Each bite reflected the care and attention that went into its preparation. The restaurant itself is very clean and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their warm service truly added to the overall experience. Kamakura is definitely a spot I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality Japanese food in Los Gatos. Whether you’re craving sushi or a hot meal like their teriyaki dishes, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a place I’ll be happy to return to!

It was very crowded on a nice Saturday afternoon, both indoor and outdoor seating was packed but they quickly found us a table! I had their traditional Jaoanese Bento box with Saba Shioyaki & Salmon Sashimi combo and my husband enjoyed the Sashimi Sampler.
