Small, nondescript, no frills sushi spot in San Mateo where the prices are reasonable and the portions are ample. The chicken karaage, hamachi kama, and shrimp tempura came out hot and flavorful. The sake don had a good amount of salmon And the chutoro sashimi was thick, fatty, and buttery. I also like that they have the teriyaki sauce on the side for the beef teriyaki bento. We had to flag the staff a couple of times to get their attention but they were friendly. There's also plenty of parking space in front. Will go back when in the area.

Can’t go wrong with the Simpsons. Sushi and Simpsons on the TV, can it get any better than that? Asked for a recommendation and loved what I had. Something new and delicious. Place is low key and tucked away. Hard to stumble across it except online. Will be coming back next time I’m in the area.

The sushi was great, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. I found there was a bit too much mayonnaise in the sushi for my liking, but you can request it without if you prefer or choose a different roll.
