Listen, I'm not proud of this, but I've been guilty of driving past IKa Grill for ages. Like, years. It's a classic case of "I'll try it next time," which, as we all know, is code for "I'll probably forget about it until I'm 80." But folks, let me tell you, I finally saw the light (and smelled the delicious aromas wafting from IKa Grill). I'm a sucker for Asian cuisine, and IKa Grill's menu is like a greatest hits album of all my favorites. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even a little Thai – it's like the United Nations of deliciousness. First things first, I needed a drink. A nice hot sake was calling my name, and let me tell you, it was the perfect remedy for the chilly weather. It warmed me up from the inside out, kind of like a cozy blanket for my soul. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Soup? For dinner? Who is this person?" But trust me, IKa Grill's Korean "Jam Bong" soup is not your average bowl of broth. It's a flavor explosion in a bowl, with tender 🦑 squid, shrimp, fresh veggies, and noodles swimming in a spicy red broth. Okay, maybe it wasn't spicy enough for my taste, but a little side of chili sauce fixed that right up. Came for lunch with my work buds. Tried generals chicken, which came with hot and sour soup and a salad. The greens in my salad were super fresh and hot and sour soup is always delicious. Generals chicken always has a little spice whenever I've ordered before but this one had none, which was a little disappointing. It was still good though. There was also an extensive offering of sushi which I need to come back and try.
