We celebrated my son’s 12th birthday here (as he traditionally has asked for hibachi since he was old to know what it is) and the food was great and the service was even better! Andre and Gung were amazing!!!

Masa Sake is the best hibachi place we have been to in the Indianapolis area and we've tried several places all around. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Staff were very friendly and we received our food quickly. Everything was perfect. The shrimp tempura was my favorite sushi.

Masa Sake Grill: A Fun Hibachi Experience with Outstanding Food Masa Sake Grill is a Japanese restaurant that offers hibachi-inspired dishes, along with a sushi and sake bar. We arrived around 6 PM to find the place packed with people. Although we were initially told the wait would be over an hour, we were seated in just 15 minutes—a pleasant surprise! For our meal, my wife and I chose “The Impossible,” which includes chicken, shrimp, and steak. We also started with the spring egg rolls, which, while a bit greasy, were still enjoyable. Alongside our meal, we were served a simple lettuce salad with a delicious dressing and a light broth soup. The hibachi experience was a highlight. The chef prepared the rice, vegetables, and proteins right at our table, complete with an entertaining performance. It added a fun and engaging element to our evening. The portion sizes were more than generous—most guests, including us, left with carryout boxes. The atmosphere was lively and a bit noisy, reflecting the bustling nature of the restaurant. While the service was a little slow due to the crowd, the staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming environment. Another plus: plenty of free parking! In total, one appetizer and two “Impossible” dinners came to $95, which we felt was reasonable for the quality and experience. Overall, the food was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Masa Sake Grill might just become a regular stop for us. We’ll definitely be back!
