We have legit sushi in Hayward for the first time ever we do not need to drive to SF, Walnut Creek, San Mateo, Palo Alto or all over the Bay Area to get fresh sushi!

Mujiri is a decent place to get quality fish at reasonable prices. They had some options, like Ocean Trout and Atlantic Char, that you won't find at lower tier sushi restaurants. Though nothing really stood out as great. It was on par with other places I've been to. The staff is spot on with friendly and attentive service. Given how small the restaurant is, the service never felt rushed or chaotic. However, also because of how small the restaurant is, the atmosphere is not that great. Especially if you are seated next to a loud party like we were. All the diners are so close to each other that it is easy for loud conversations to ruin your experience. I was really looking forward to trying Mujiri, but I am sad to say I probably won't be back.

Walked in spontaneously in the afternoon and the food here just blew us away. Everything was made with intention and presented beautifully. Best sushi in Hayward hands down.
