First time at Yakiya and it was a real treat. Let’s talk about the star of the meal….the variety of high quality meats. We enjoyed the small portions so you can really eat a variety of meat. Since they cook for you, every piece was cooked perfectly. Great place to come for a special occasion.

I’m on a mission to find the best deals in SoCal so today we were at Yakiya, one of the most popular Japanese fine dining restaurants in the SGV, to try their brand new lunch prix fixe menu. So I’ve had their dinner before but was blown away by how well they captured the highlights of their dinner menu to feature for lunch. Starting strong with Dungeness crab salad, chawanmushi, and a delicate sashimi tartlet topped with caviar that needed its own moment. She was literally so beautiful, so delicious. Next up was a choice between A5 wagyu or Chilean sea bass. I don’t usually order fish at restaurants but I’m so glad I did because this was literally melt-in-your-mouth goodness, sooo buttery and flaky. My boyfriend went with the A5 wagyu course that they’re most known for, with 3 select cuts more decadent than the last. But my favorite course had to be their bone marrow rice with the housemade garlic miso glaze. For all this for $48, would you try this? Thanks for reading! ^-^

This place is quite amazing. I was lucky to come here on my birthday and was amazed by every dish. As a chef I can really appreciate everything that they do here. I am grateful to have spent my birthday at this establishment with my love one's.
