We had an amazing experience at Sapporo! This cozy, family-friendly Japanese restaurant in Georgetown, Kentucky, truly stands out. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, perfect for a family meal. The menu offers a fantastic variety, from classic sushi rolls to flavorful hibachi dishes, making it easy to find something for everyone, even for picky eaters. The kids loved watching their meal being prepared at the hibachi grill, and the chef’s fun tricks kept them entertained throughout. Each dish was fresh and beautifully presented, with authentic flavors that transported us right to Japan. We highly recommend the teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura—both were simply outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable dining experience. We left feeling satisfied, happy, and eager to return. We loved the koi pond/fountain/tree in the center of the restaurant. It was such a fun and different environment than we’re used to in a restaurant. The kids were amazed at how humongous the fish were. The service was attentive and everything came out quickly. We just ordered sushi and food from the kitchen- we didn’t do hibachi. The sushi was ok- the rolls weren’t overly huge and we weren’t wowed by anything, but we will definitely come back and try again. I took off a star because everything on our table was sticky and it seemed like it could’ve used a rinse/wipe down. But it wasn’t a deal breaker. We will see you again, Sapporo.
