The sashimi and sushi rolls did not meet our expectations in terms of freshness and the flavors were mostly missing. The server recommended a bento box but we were in the mood for sushi. We tried this place because it was rated very highly and felt disappointed. They have free hot tea and miso soup.

The service is prompt, actually too fast...as I felt rushed out without even eating my food. Too many reminders of their closing time, at 833 and then 837. I'm like I Know you close at 9. 2x. Prices are good for the value. What tastes like sweet mayonnaise as a "Sauce" on top of my 'Out Of Control' Roll was disgusting. After I scraped that off it was okay

We came on Juneteenth after 1) disappointment at KISEKI - only quick bites now and nigiri was completely removed from menu 2) went to the other Satomi accidentally 3) and there was a wait I guess it was a holiday. We came at around 1:00pm and the wait was around 20 minutes. Only one staff so we expected some wait after we placed the order, but she tried her best! Food was delicious and we are from Seattle (plenty of Japanese restaurants). We had katsu, tempura combinations, nigiris for ika, hotate and uni (of course for uni we ordered two), and lion king roll. I came to the conclusion that this definitely worth our wait! Will come again, and so far, best Japanese restaurant in Fremont!
