My husband and I have been having trouble finding a good sushi place with fresh seafood, where you can sit at the sushi bar. Before the pandemic this was easier. We found IKA and it's now our favorite, right in our own neighborhood. You don't need to leave Chula Vista for good food and good service. We've been a few times and they recognized us the 2nd time we came in. My hubby has that affect on people and I'm not kidding. The sushi is so fresh and tasty. The sushi chef's are fun to interact with. The atmosphere is nice. The parking is good. I brought one of my coworkers here yesterday and I ordered the teriyaki chicken (photo attached). It was wonderful. Like no other I've tried. Not too sweet, loads of fresh veggies, large serving. Enough for two. This will be a go to restaurant for us.

Love the food, I had Sushi. The service was slow, it may be because it was very busy when I was there.

I hate to write bad reviews but I though maybe I’ll help the owner to know the quality of the food was really bad and not appealing at all. The chicken has after taste in the chicken ramen and wings ( see picture ) And the whole thing has nothing to do with Japanese food. Plus the hot green tea normally served in the hot pot here you get small cup only for $2.75 .
